Software Services

Professor Carlos Brebbia, the founder and Director of the Wessex Institute, played an active role in the development of the Boundary Element Method.  Research at the Wessex Institute has been incorporated into a computer simulation code based on this method, called BEASY (Boundary Element Analysis System).

To develop and maintain this code as a service to industry, the BEASY software company was set up (www.beasy.com).  BEASY provides services to industries including aerospace and automotives, as well as mechanical, offshore and naval engineering.  More specialist applications include those in the fields of biomedicine, electromagnetics and fracture mechanics.
